What is on your Every Day Carry list

E.D.C = Every Day Carry.
These are the items that we carry with us every day in case of situations taking place.
For example, My everyday carry consists of my 5.11 tactical folding lockblade knife, an enexpensive multi-tool by Ozark Trail and a mini-mag flashlight.
If I only take one item, I always take my knife, which I keep razor sharp.
I am interested in what you all carry for your E.D.C.
Post a comment and let me know.

  1. 1) Leatherman Ti Titanium multi-tool
    2) Mini Mag flashlight
    3) Super Strike Fire Starter
    4) Prescription pill bottle with dental floss, thread, needle and duct tape wrapped around the bottle
    5) Radiation detection Pen
    6) Some kind of high energy snack
    7) Compass
    8) Emergency Blanket
    9) Small Esbit cook stove with tablets
    10) Kershaw Pocket Knife kept razor sharp that I keep in my pocket

These are all in my biking bag that I take with me everywhere. I probably have more in there that I've forgotten outside of my wallet, cell phone, and camera that I have hooked in a protective case on the outside of my biking bag. :)

  2. Honestly, I don't have anything with me most of the time because it's often 100+ degrees outside. I do have a plastic storage container in my truck that normally has a flashlight, blankets, lighter of some kind, tools for almost any occasion, and that's about it. I'd love to have a small caliber gun in there but here in California I'd end up in jail. I'd like to add a couple of things to it. I would like to get a compass and maybe some of those shakeable light sticks that don't rely on batteries. Solar devices are also on my list to check out.

That's about it. Soon I'll be getting my Sig Sauer or Walther handgun but it's a chore to get one in California. In fact, what ISN'T a chore here in California. It took me EIGHT MONTHS just to register my truck when I moved here. Talk about ridiculous.

    Anyway, have a blessed week!!

  3. I have the best job in the world that helps prepare me for survival, (military) so I am lucky in that respect!
    Every day carry is:
my benchmade automatic knife, tanto blade for strength and half-serrated. There are cheaper automatics, choose one and you won't regret it.
    For every-day wear:
good all-weather running shoe or hiking boots- weather can go foul at any time, and you don't want to snap-kick an enemy with flip-flops- Trust me. wool-blend socks fight blisters and odor well.
Baseball cap for sun protection in hot climates and holds heat in when it's cold.
Cargo pants (rip-stop nylon- obvious reasons, but light and dries quickly).
Usually some type of solid-color moisture-wicking shirt, should be long-sleeve with collar. Roll the sleeves up if necessary, can look good anywhere but still be functional for the long-haul.
anti-bacterial underwear- for morale and longevity if you are stuck somewhere. Also I try and use non-scented biodegradable soaps and even fabric softener. Less bugs and scents to give off.

In my truck I have the following things that I NEVER remove.
Personal Protection- get something you like and are familiar with and practice, practice, practice. The old saying goes 'beware the man with one gun'.
    spool of 550 cord
    couple of MREs
    water purification tablets.
    chemlights
    knife sharpener
    blankets
GPS with extra batteries (don't store them in your GPS for long periods- acid leakage is the end of that)
solar-powered utility charger with multiple appliance ports. Very handy, just find things that match the plug ends! They only come with 3-5 variants.
    Tools of all kinds.
    spare change of clothes/shoes.

    * It sounds like a lot, but most of it fits in a large backpack and under the seat.
